In the 1860 Census of Norfolk County, Virginia, above, we find the following:
Nathaniel Bezzelle, age 42, is listed as an Indian farm laborer. His (presumed) wife, due to her age, Julia, age 30, is listed as an Indian laborer. Underneath those two are listed their presumed children, although relationships aren’t stated: Pastora, age 14, Indian, Lovett, age 12, Indian, William B., 11, Indian, Susanna R., 8, Indian and Policia, 2, Indian.
Nathaniel is born in North Carolina and Julia is born in Virginia
